Safe-S-Capes are keyless emergency exit products for window spaces. They let you quickly exit in a fire or other emergency, but they are just as hard to penetrate as all our other products because they feature Crimsafe's ^® screw-clamped mesh as well as a triple "anti-crowbar" design that protects the lock.

With a Safe-S-Cape installed, you'll have peace of mind knowing that your home is as secure as it can be from the outside, but you can exit in seconds if the need arises.

Crimsafe Commercial Security System Beats Serious Burglars

Commercial premises need heavier protection than domestic residences. The fact that there can be very high value items inside, and not many people around to hear the noise can encourage a burglar to spend more time and bring extra-heavy equipment to do the job.

We had to engineer a new level of security to combat this threat.

For Crimsafe's ^® Commercial Systems we made 4 big changes:

• 1. We increased the number of tamper-proof screws holding the clamp together by a factor of 5 (there's one every 25mm along the clamp)
• 2. We drilled them into the clamp in a staggered fashion to resist any tendency for a single line of screws to weaken the mesh under extreme pressure
• 3. We doubled the clamp-to-mesh contact area for extra vice-like grip
• 4. We increased the thickness of the aluminium frame by more than 60% to significantly increase the screen's resistance time under the heaviest attacks.

We knew we had created something special when we saw Commercial Crimsafe withstand a ballistic missile test.

We had BHP's testing center recreate a Category 4 Cyclone to test its strength under extreme conditions. They shot a piece of hardwood weighing 4 kgs into the screen at a speed of 72 kilometres per hour (20 metres per second). Then they took a series of 5 steel balls, each weighing two grams and almost a centimeter in diameter, and sent them smashing into the screen at 108 kilometres per hour (30 metres per second).

The Commercial product was dented but unbroken.

Quite simply it's incredibly strong. If you saw just how many screws go into it, and how thick the frame is, you would agree that it is impossible to penetrate with any common attack. And unlike old fashioned security bars (which can be pried apart with a jack) it looks fantastic on your building.

1. The mesh is 'screw-clamped' so it can't be kicked out

Look at the picture and you can see how the Crimsafe® mesh is sandwiched between two serrated pieces of aluminium that clamp the mesh tight. One is an aluminium strip with a hook (the grey coloured strip) and the other is the frame that the strip hooks into (the yellow part underneath). But then, all three are screwed together with stainless steel tamper-resistant screws and the different components are separated by a Santoprene (rubber) bead (the yellow strip in the image)

This combination mechanically fastens the mesh to the frame and creates a barrier that can't be kicked in - The Screw-ClampedTM Mesh that Beats More Burglars.

This system is internationally patented and unique. Only Crimsafe® features screws driven through both the clamp and the mesh and right into the frame on the other side, to provide incredible strength.

To ensure no air or moisture can penetrate the system, an envelope of Santoprene ® fully encloses the mesh sandwiched between the screw-clamp (in the diagram, it’s the cream-coloured part). Without air or moisture, there can be no corrosion.
